In order to guarantee the optimal success of treatment it is necessary to define the aims at the beginning of the treatment. These can be:
• normalising or improving motor, sensory and cognitive functions
• stabilising or mobilising the spinal column and joints
• increasing stamina
• coping with life-changing diseases
• limiting the effects of trauma
• treating and coping with acute and chronic pain
• practising everyday activities
• increasing cardio-pulmonary capacity
• learning strategies to deal with reduced physical capacity
Further goals are possible. All goals are discussed together with you before beginning the treatment, and the respective therapies as well as the schedule are laid down in your individual treatment plan.
